Okay, so you have a business. Now what? What steps do you need to take to get it off the ground and successful ASAP?
Here are some ideas for you -
First, decide on the methods you want to use to build your business, and I encourage you to know all methods available to you and be open to trying a little of everything in the beginning. Then, you can truly determine what works the BEST for you.
Here are some ideas -
Retail
Fundraisers
Recruiting
Decide on 3-5 Reaching Out Methods, no matter which avenues you are pursuing.
Retail - Step one - schedule your own Open House or Home Party and Invite EVERYONE you know. Get your product exposed to your circle of influence and see what evolves. Consider giving samples and demo-ing your product as best you can. Let them know there are freebies for bringing a friend. Get them excited and give them a REASON to come.
Ask around to those who you know throw home parties regularly and let them know they can earn some great, FREE products.
Attend local Networking Mixers, Chamber of Commerce, Lead groups, etc. This is a GREAT way to introduce all of your business methods and your products. Branch out to other business people and you'll be amazed at what can come of it.
Brainstorm about other types of businesses that would fit nicely with your products. Let your imagination run wild.
Craft/Boutique and Expos - again, these will allow you to introduce all aspects of your business
Fundraisers - go through the phone book categories - dance, gymnastics, little league, bands, cheerleaders, school PTA's and PTO's, etc. This is LIMITLESS, and think of adult organizations, too. Soroptimist, Rotary, etc.
Local Ads - for both customers, home parties and business builders
Mail Postcards to paid leads - talk with your upline about this avenue.
Use the 3-foot rule
Warm market - postcards, email, phone call - who do you know
Internet - ads in newsletters and on specific target market sites, articles, personal website for SE's
Now, you've determined the method with which to build, now set up your business plan accordingly.
Don't focus on $$ amounts for your plan, instead focus on what YOU can control - ACTIONS.
Single Daily Actions (SDA's) and Weekly Plan of Action (WPA's) - # of XX each month
Use an accountability form and find an accountability partner, upline, downline, crossline.
Set realistic goals and then adjust as you need to, and don't cut yourself too much slack.
Network Marketing Companies pay us VERY well for sharing the story of these products with others. Use this to carve out your piece of this growing multi-billion dollar industry.
What is your weekly action plan? What single daily actions will you take?
# of initial phone calls
# of follow ups
# of ads placed
# of mixers attended
# of online marketing steps
etc.
Break your weeks down and set a weekly plan of action and then daily steps. If you miss a day due to "real life" you still have the rest of the week to accomplish your weekly plan.
Pay attention to areas of resistance.
Break your year up into quarters, and focus on 90 day action plans. Don't look back until the end of 90 days and then re-evaluate and adjust, fine tune. Consult upline for assistance.
Use the tools and training guides offered by your upline. That's what they are there for.
