Hi there, I don't know if my answer will help you or not. I've been involved in an MLM company for over 4 years now, and I love it. The basic reason for me loving it, is because I cannot be successfull in what I do, UNLESS I help others become successfull. MLM stands for multi-level marketing, which you've probably already discovered. There are MANY different compensation plans within the MLM structure. In my company, I have to help others acheive success for me to be successfull, in other companies, it is not so cut and dried.

Basically, it's a brick layering program. You sposor a few people, lets just say you sponsor two people, who each sponsor two people (totaling 6 people), who each sponsor two (18 people), who each sponsor two (54 people), etc and so forth. Some companies only compensate to a set level, say 5 levels down from you. Other companies compensate you as far down as you can go. The concept is that you, the business builder is helping each person sponsor their two people (in this example), to the point even that you may place a new enrollee under one of your group members.

I personally do not know of any books that explain all of the MLM compensation plans, and of course, I'm very familiar with my own. I hope this has helped you some. If you have anymore questions, you can email me. :-)
