NWM Core Skill => A-C-T-I-O-N

Hello Business Associates:

I have posted about this issue before.

What follows applies whether we focus on Customer Acquisition -- or if we talent scout for Biz Builders.

It's a basic principle that affects us all.

There are SO many different factors that come into the equation for Success -- BELIEF being a 'major' one -- PERSISTENCE being another.

But there's also -- Attitude - Entrepreneurial Mindset - Communication Skills - Marketing Approach -- Vision - Desire - Discipline - on and on.

Given the importance of 'each and every' element, it's difficult to narrow it down to any ONE thing. Yet, while all of these traits may or may not be present -- successful people 'always' seem to possess one critical characteristic.

Each of US can learn from it, because without it - we cannot possibly achieve a desired outcome.

What is this important trait? => I believe it's intelligent A-C-T-I-O-N.

Let's think about it...

SO many of us are "held hostage" -- by that BUT -- by that WHAT IF -- by just that little bit of doubt (lack of faith) -- by waiting until everything's 'perfect' [all the lights are green] -- by that little voice of FEAR -- that we procrastinate -- we put off -- we become paralyzed -- we don't take ACTION.

Until - and unless - we take intelligent ACTION - we will never achieve our desired outcomes.

Until - and unless - we take intelligent ACTION - we will wonder five years from now - why we're still spinning our wheels.

I believe that intelligent ACTION sets the whole process in motion.

Intelligent ACTION takes what is only an IDEA - and makes it REAL.

When we take intelligent ACTION -- R-E-S-U-L-T-S are produced. They may or may not be the desired results -- but that's not important, initially -- but every event moves us 'closer' to our desired outcome.

I've used this example before -- when an AIRPLANE is on autopilot, it's 'off course' much of the time.

But here's the thing -- it is constantly 'moving toward it's destination'. We love this metaphor, which so accurately reflects the dynamics of our own journey -- in business -- in life.

Theodore Roosevelt once said - "There is nothing brilliant nor outstanding in my record, except perhaps ONE thing -- I DO the things I believe ought to be done -- and when I make up my mind to do a thing -- I ACT on it"

Sure, there are other "habits" of successful people. And they are all vitally important. And if they are 'already' a part of our lives -- then nothing can stop us.

But here's the thing...

We can SET GOALS -- we can THINK POSITIVE -- we can BELIEVE -- we can VISUALIZE -- and AFFIRM -- and PRACTICE all the 'other' success habits.

However, if we don't take intelligent A-C-T-I-O-N -- all the other habits will all be for naught.

As the Nike commercial says -- Just DO It!

I believe our intelligent ACTION Plan begins and develops this way...

----------------------------------------------
(1)=> We define our W-H-Y -- and keep it in front of us

(2)=> We take ONE SMALL STEP 'in that direction'

(3)=> Then another

(4)=> Then another.

Pretty soon, we'll be WALKING

Then JOGGING

Then SPRINTING 'toward our destination'
-------------------------------------------------

If we just DO it -- take intelligent ACTION -- we'll be very, very glad we did.
